On Saturday the 5th of December the church organised a float to participate in the annual Broadstone Christmas parade through the shopping area. Thankfully the wet weather abated for the duration of the procession and there was a record turnout to see Father Christmas make his appearance for the children.

Our float proclaimed “Jesus the Light of the World” using a huge eight sided lantern to reinforce the message. Our younger members were dressed as Christmas candles in red with individual flame headbands. Carols rang out from an onboard amplifier. After the parade we were delighted to be presented with a “highly commended” plaque and certificate which Pastor Tim received from the mayor of Poole.
